Singers Jody Briskey and Drew Jansen of Three Hits and A Miss fame, join pianist Jimmy Martin to create a dynamic new show – THREESTYLE! All three artists are consummate entertainers and bring tremendous experience to this cabaret style evening featuring well-known and loved favorites from the likes of Judy Garland, Rosemary Clooney and Patti Page – to classics like Moon River and Malaguena. Thrown in for good measure are some ragtime riffs and unique doings at the piano as well as some hoots from the hilarious Church Basement Ladies musicals. Formed in Germany by four Russians, all of whom shared a desire to prove that it is possible to play any style of music on the cello, Rastrelli Cello Quartet certainly appears to have accomplished their goal. Gold medal winner of the 2005 World Piano Competition, Ilya Yakushev is a fresh and exciting presence in the piano world. He has performed at major venues on three continents. ILya is a native of St. Petersburg, Russia where he won his first award at age 12 as a prizewinner of the Young Artists Concerto Competition. The program will include “Pictures at an Exhibition” with a slide show of the art that inspired the composer.
